BOHOL SEA TOUR

Went to alone first day in the morning. Beach is not as beautiful as Boracay's but its clean. FIne white sand, but not as powdery as Boracay's.

We hired a boat to Balicasag Php1,500.00 for 3pax inclusive of 2 snorkeling equipment and dolphin watching. Balicasag Island could be reached in 30minutes from Panglao Island. Balicasag Island is a diver's paradise.

With an amazing marine sanctuary and snorkeling. The dolphin watching was somewhat like a Chasing Dolphins. To hire a guide and a banca to the balicasag marine sanctuary they charge us a separate rate of P150.00 per head. (There's always a fee in everything in bohol...sigh!) rip off. mas okay pa sa boracay di ganun ka exorbitant ang singilin. Sobrang dami hidden charges and fees sa Balicasag. Btw, bring some bread fish feeding.

The food in Balicasag was sobrang exorbitant din. Fish is Php 350.00 per kilo and paluto charge was Php200.00 for soup and grilled... (kaloka!) We paid Php 800.00 (3pax) for a very ordinary lunch.

Tour of Bohol part 2

The 3rd destination was the man made forest in Bilar The man-made forest densely planted of mahogany trees. It stands out because of the uniformity in height of the big trees,When we enter the forest Looking at the huge trees gives me the creeps.but find it very enchanting..
After the Picture taking in the man made forest we dropped by in the bamboo hanging bridge above the Loboc River. This bridge hangs approximately 20 meters above the Loboc River and sways back and forth as you walk across.can buy some souvenir across the bridge or drink some refreshing buco.

The Next stop was the Chocolate Hills Bohol's most famous tourist attraction 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills of about the same size. you have to climb the 214 stepsto reach the view deck. The domes vary in sizes from 30 to 50 metres (98 to 160 ft) high with the largest being 120 metres (390 ft) in height.Indeed natural wonder. After 30 minutes of viewing and picture taking in chocolate hills off we went to Baclayon Church. unfortunately it was already closed when arrived there. Baclayon Church is considered to be one of the oldest churchesin the Philippines.
Passed by in the Loboc Bell Tower then picture taking ng mga 10 minutes.
Last stop is the The Blood compact site of Legazpi and Sikatuna. The Bohol Blood Compact sculpture was made by the National Artist, Napoleon Abueva, a Boholano himself.
Around 6pm the driver took us to PAnglao.
Initial plan was to stay in Alona Beach.having a hard time looking for resorts. As one of the prime tourist destinations in the country, hundreds of people flock to the island especially during the summer. Most resorts is the area are fully booked during the summer and yung rates ng hotel doble presyo.
We were just so lucky to find available room in Paragayo Resort it is located right by the roadside a 5 minutes walk to Alona beach., The rooms are basic. There are no TV's or phones in the rooms The grounds were clean and lush with vegetation. The grounds manicured. Its a wifi area so i can practically check my email thru my Ipod touch. though you need to stay close to the office to access and get a good signal.

Tour of Bohol

Check out in the Cebu hotel and went to pier 4 (weesam express) to get ticketsfor tagbilaran.Traveling has its minor inconveniences especially if its holyweektime.hirap kumuha ng ticket grabe..after an hour of waiting we finally got ours.chance passengers kami.
It took about 2 hours from Cebu pier to Tagbilaran.arrived 12noon.We negotiated with a driver. he informed us that its still possible fora day tour. paid PHp 2,000 for the car rental for 3 pax.its a new vios so puwede na rin. the first stop was the tarsier sanctuary.Tarsier is about the size of a rat.will fit comfortably in your hand.the Tarsier has huge eyes and the smallest primates in the world.

It was getting past lunch time,so the Second destination was the Loboc River Cruise..We paid Php 300 per person to cover the entrance, tour on the river and the buffet. we wanted the riverwatch boat sana kaso pinipilit nung aming driver na i tryyung boat ng sister nya (I-Village). since haba ng pila sa riverwatchgo na rin kami dun sa i-village.
Bohol is a place of uncharted paradise where nature is unexploited and preserve by people who value its beauty. As the boat takes of, the buffet begins. while enjoying your foodyou can enjoy the lush green landscape and scenery whilelistening to the visayan old songs serenaded by the boat singers.amazing experience indeed!

Bohol,Cebu and Bantayan Island Summer Trip 2009

Since this travel is during the height of summer and holyweek season. Had to pay an arm and a leg in order to get a decent flights and accomodations

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 April 1
Arrived in Cebu at 6 am checked in at the hotel in fuente osmena then went to Cebu’s oldest Roman Catholic Church, the Basilica Minore del Santo NiƱo. The structure, located right in the heart of downtown Cebu City, since its palm sunday we bought palm crosses which were blessed by the priest with holy water. we also visited the Magellans Cross for picture taking.

We went to ayala terraces (Greenbelt Version. That’s Terraces of Cebu) and had lunch at Golden Cowrie Hukad. It was around 1pm na..yet long queues were seen at Hukad. We ordered their kinilaw, sisig, chicken pandan and Kare-kare. I love their food especially the kinilaw superb! Free flowing or unlimited rice is just one of the good thing about this restaurant too. for 7 persons the cost was around Php 1,000) not bad..

After the heavy lunch we went to Mountain View resort in Busay.Overlooking the city, it is situated near the cool flower gardens of Busay. This park comes with a mini-zoo, accommodations, and canteen. MOUNTAIN VIEW NATURE'S PARK Sitio Gorohe, Busay, Cebu City is an excellent sight seeing spots and both give particularly breathtaking views of the metropolis. There are also open kiosks available for picnics with the family.

Mga 4pm From Busay we went to Marco Polo Hotel to try the Blu Bar and Grill but the Cocktails start 4:30 PM and dinner starts at 6:30 PM.so we decide to go to Crown Regency instead. wanted to check out the Hotels Sky Rides. We wanted to try the Sky Walk Extreme and Edge Coaster. but we backed out for the last minute..since hindi kinaya ang fear of heights. especially im hypertensive. so we opted to try the 4D theater instead.

This 4D Theater is the first in Cebu and it is located in the 18th floor of Crown Regency Hotel. The 4d movie is called Deep Sea Adventure where you go under the sea encountering various kinds of sea creatures. You could view them as if they are totally in front of you. although it only takes a few minutes to watch the film but the experience is unforgettable.
After the movie naghanap kami ng Dimsum Steamed Rice... the dimsum “steamed rice” in Cebu is actually a rice topping with your choice of chicken, beef or pork.the nearest we can find is the Majestic steamed rice located in food court in Robinsons Fuente few blocks away from Crown Regency.

After the tiresome and hectic day about 7pm balik na kami sa hotel sa sobrang pagod nag take out na lang kami ng food from Larsian. Larsian is one of Cebu's most prominent eating havens, Located at the uptown area Larsian’s is a paradise for barbeque lovers.they served sizzling sinugbang baboy, sinugbang pusit, sinugbang isda, puso (hanging rice) home made chorizo and etc.at a very affordable cost.
